Fiesta of Cacharro and Chestnut
The San Andrés festivity of Puerto de la Cruz has become very popular for its originality, and it is a date that will surprise you. Known as the Party of the Cacharro and the Chestnut, it is celebrated every November 29, and if there is something that makes it recognizable it is the deafening noise that the pots (and other old objects) produce. The neighbors unite them by wires to drag them along the ground in a route that wanders through the center of the city and concludes in the Plaza del Charco.
When arriving at the heart of Puerto de la Cruz awaits a massive tasting of roasted chestnuts, very typical of this area and this time of year.
